Phillip A. Norman, the firm’s founder, has over thirty years of experience in handling consumer default, real estate and mortgage default matters. Mr. Norman is also an experienced trial and appellate lawyer in state and federal courts. He maintains a “distinguished” Martindale Hubbell rating.
The firm provides legal counsel in the states of Indiana and Wisconsin. The firm is a full-service provider of legal services for depository and non-depository institutions, including banks, credit unions, mortgage servicers, institutional investors, and private firms. The firm’s staff and organized operational processes have helped the firm see continued growth. After graduating law school in 2010, Kelly Smith began her career as corporate counsel for a credit union, gaining experience in regulatory compliance, foreclosure and collections. Lynn Pluister, hailing from Northern Indiana, received her JD from Valparaiso University Law School in 2006. She spent the first several years of her legal career working for a small law firm in Valparaiso, learning the ins and outs of handling legal cases – from intake to post trial matters. Beginning in 2015, Lynn then spent a couple years working for a local bank, assisting businesses in exploring, creating, managing, and dissolving employee stock ownership plans. Alyssa is a Wisconsin native, who graduated from Marquette Law School with a Juris Doctor in 2016. Since then, Alyssa has worked as a prosecutor and a creditor’s rights attorney. As a creditor’s rights attorney, she represented banks and other creditors in foreclosure actions.
When Alyssa is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Laker. She also enjoys going to country music concerts and sporting events.

Vanessa has been working in the default servicing industry for 10 years in the areas of sales, paralegal, management and operations positions. Vanessa currently oversees day-to-day operations and process flow to ensure goals are met while formulating plans for improved operational efficiency, monitor worker productivity, and working with leadership teams to develop strategies to meet future needs.
Vice President, Client Relations
Kathryn MacLean serves as the firm’s liaison with existing clients and as the builder of relationships with potential new clients. Kathryn recognizes that a client’s time is a valuable commodity. When meeting with clients, Kathryn, not only wants to develop business for the firm, but desires to provide immediate and exceptional service to clients.
Kathryn is uniquely qualified to fulfill this mission. She has over 20 years of experience on the operations side of default servicing. Kathryn possesses a diverse background in Loss Mitigation including Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Fraud, Collections, Six Sigma (Blackbelt) and Operations leadership. Kathryn attended Brigham Young University in Provo Utah and studied economics.
On a personal level, Kathryn is an outdoor adventure seeker, Bikram Yoga practitioner, snow skier, and animal lover.
Industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. For the past eight years Mr. Bourdeau has served as COO/CFO for a multi-state Default Law Firm and Title Company, where he oversaw the operational growth of the Law Firm from two states to thirteen states, the Title Company was licensed in 26 states. Prior to his work at the Law Firm, he worked for Cambridge Place Investment Management where he was the Sr. Servicer Analyst for the Credit team. He was responsible for evaluating servicers and originators performance on sub-prime assets in the US, UK and Australia. In addition, he managed all on-site audits and due diligence on private investment transactions, including: Equipment Leasing, Student Loans, Automotive Finance and Commercial Mortgages. He has performed over 100 site reviews, along with writing extensive Credit Analysis and Investment Analysis for each review. Mr. Bourdeau played a key role in managing input criteria into pricing models for Whole Loans, Residential Mortgage Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities, and Asset Backed Securities.
National Evictions Manager
Janna-Marie oversees the firm’s national evictions platform. She has over 19 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on residential real estate and default law. She has developed and managed a national signing services team for real estate closings and managing evictions in 48 states. Janna-Marie has a high focus on client communication and continually researches process and procedure to ensure the firm complies with all current Federal and State guidelines.
Janna-Marie loves dogs. She loves to rescue dogs from shelters and makes them part of her family.
